88Rising announces 2021 Head in the Clouds lineup
Rich Brian, Saweetie, CL, Joji, & NIKI will headline the two-day festival
With Rolling Loud Miami kicking Hip Hop concert season into high gear last weekend, it's only right that other promoters who have been chomping at the bit to get back into live events are announcing their lineups. 88Rising, the multimedia brainchild of Sean Miyashiro focusing on Asian artists, is putting on their flagship Head in the Clouds festival for a third time on November 6 and 7 at Brookside, the golf course adjacent to Pasadena’s Rose Bowl.
The star-studded lineup includes Indonesian rapper Rich Brian, Japanese-Australian R&B singer Joji, South Korean rapper CL, Black-Filipina-Chinese rapper Saweetie, Indonesian singer-songwriter Niki as headliners, and a ton of other interesting artists like Warren Hue, Guapdad 4000, REI AMI, BIBI, and The Linda Lindas down the bill.
With two full days of music planned, Head in the Clouds will also have 626 Night Market, the biggest Asian-inspired night market in the US providing food for concert goers. With 10,000 attendees the first year and 22,000-plus the second year, Head in the Clouds is aiming to double in size again by adding the extra day to the festival.
