Urban Crew from the Philippines dazzles on America’s Got Talent
The Filipino performers are energetically dancing on the world’s biggest stage
The long-running show America’s Got Talent is a great stepping stone for musicians and dancers looking to get into the industry. With judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara, winners of America’s Got Talent receive a US$1 million prize as well as an opportunity to be a main stage act in Las Vegas.
On the 17th season, a 17-person Filipino dance crew came in and blew the judges away. Urban Crew defied gravity and gave goosebumps to anyone watching as they flipped and twisted their ways into the judges’ hearts.
When they were interviewed by Simone, the spokesperson for Urban Crew said, “This is the biggest stage. And we believe, being Filipinos, it could be a big contribution to our beloved country.” Simon then followed up, “Here’s the important question. Do you think you can win it?” He answered, “Yes, we do. We work hard for this. Cause this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
With creative flips, crisp acrobatics, and landings on hardwood floors without mats or ropes, Urban Crew is definitely a group to look out for on America’s Got Talent.
