The whole team got together for the new GERDNANG single ‘Mamma Mia,’ and it’s a straight-up party jam. It’s been a minute since we saw the whole squad collectively on a track, so it’s a nice surprise to see them going back to the club banger style. And bang it does go. The simple, Asian tonality of the melody over a bouncy Trap groove provides the perfect canvas for all five members to paint a fun and funky picture of their exploits followed repeatedly in the hooks with the exclamation ‘Mamma Mia!’

Gang leader HIEUTHUHAI takes on the chorus vocals, while HURRYKNG, REX, Negav, and MANBO all drop hot bars – with the final effect being that these boys can all rhyme their asses off. While GERDNANG [that’s NERD GANG backward] often get on the Pop side of things and like to explore different genres, it’s when they start rhyming over a dope beat that they really come together best. ‘Mamma Mia’ is a great example of that. This tune should be pumping out of cars all summer in Vietnam – and probably all the Little Saigons around the globe, too.
