One of the best things about the modern world we live in is that music can rapidly change from one day to the next. Styles can merge and new artists can become superstars overnight. XG, the seven-member Japanese Hip Hop and R&B outfit would have been a J-pop band a few years ago. Instead, they are making amazing music with top-of-the-line visuals and going global with it.

Enter ‘Woke Up,’ their new single which is burning up the trending charts all over the world. It’s hard. It’s dope. It’s great Pop music because it’s very hardcore Hip Hop while showing what a million-dollar sheen looks like. JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA are excellent rappers and instead of spending hours learning choreography, they’ve been put in Hip Hop school. It shows because they don’t play. ‘Woke Up’ has an incredibly catchy beat, but it could be played at an underground Hip Hop show and get love.

The video for ‘Woke Up’ is next level. The storyline and graphics are Hollywood-esque as they transform into wolves ready to tear the party up. Their drip, including custom football helmets and grills, will be everywhere soon.
