Cambodian rap superstar VannDa has released a music video for his track ‘C.O.D.A’, taken off his latest album Skull 2 [Season 1]. The video is a behind-the-scenes look at the rapper’s tour life, splicing together footage and photos alongside shots of VannDa and his crew just having fun together.
VannDa kicked off his $KULL TOUR in June of this year, which included stops in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Battambang, Kampong Cham, and his hometown Sihanoukville, before culminating in Singapore with a set for ASEAN Music Showcase Festival. In the music video’s opening, the rapper revealed that the trip down to Singapore was sponsored by the Cambodian telecom company, Cellcard.
‘C.O.D.A’, which is an acronym for “Culture of Devoted Aspiration” coined by the rapper himself, features infectious keys and a bouncy backbeat that carries the entirety of the track. VannDa doesn’t hold back either on this one, purposefully declaring his prowess as a rapper, and how he can never be imitated - but if you ever needed a reference point, you can turn to his lyrics, “Find your own talents/You can look up to VannDa.”
