Joe Flizzow gets sinister with Gard on ‘Berlian’

The President is making gangster moves

Since his time with Too Phat, Joe Flizzow has always been a leader in the music industry. He’s also been a straight-up G that whole time. Released on March 9, ‘Berlain’ is The President’s latest single, and he’s never looked smoother or more in charge.

Over a sinister soundtrack by SonaOne and Din Tiger, Joe Flizzow takes on a new persona - Jean Peirre Papin. He flips between Malay and English so comfortably that everyone knows what he’s talking about, especially when he drops rhymes about blue cheese, Tiger Woods, Suge Knight, and breakfast in bed with baddies. Gard on the hook brings a bit of R&B into the mix to level things out.

The video for ‘Berlian’ makes the dope track even better. Flizzow is a gangster who is about to be double-crossed. Instead of succumbing to the plotters, he triple-crosses them back and comes away with the jewels, the crew, and his life. If Quentin Tarantino ever took a trip to KL, he’d write and direct something this effortlessly cool.
