At the beginning of 2022, Jay Park was burnt out on the music biz and went on MBC’s Radio Star and talked about retirement. He stepped down as the CEO of AMOG and H1GHR MUSIC and said he would be focusing on his other business ventures.

In the Hip Hop world, two and a half years in a few lifetimes, and recently, Jay went back on MBC’s Radio Star to retract the statement he made on the previous show. He said, “There were too many things on my plate that I had to manage on my own. It felt like I was just going through each day, trying to survive and nothing more. I didn’t want to keep pushing myself like that, which is why I thought about retiring.”

Now Jay manages More Vision and has two new K-pop groups coming out in the next year or two. One is male and one is female, and he’s got 11 trainees he’s considering for the acts. Jay concluded by saying how much he loves Hip Hop and the groups will have a heavy Hip Hop vibe.

Jay is also putting out an R&B album, THE ONE YOU WANTED, on October 8. He’s also hinted at a world tour in 2025. That’s a lot of work for retirement.
