BTS & Megan Thee Stallion just ended summer on a high note
The rapper & KPop band have teamed up for a remix to ‘Butter’
It seemed like it was going to happen, and then it didn’t. Finally, after all is said and done, KPop supergroup BTS got Megan Thee Stallion on the remix for their 2021 summer anthem ‘Butter’ and all is well in the world.
A few days ago, things were in doubt. Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyers filed a lawsuit against her label 1501 for the song to be released. 1501 declared that Megan Thee Stallion’s image would take a hit by appearing on the song, which had been number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for nine weeks. The label demanded a US$100,000 ‘waiver’ to let the Meg be on the song...and refused to give any of that money to the rapper!
Eventually, smarter heads prevailed and on Aug 27, the ‘Butter’ remix was released and all sides were happy. Megan even recorded a TikTok that features a special cameo by her dog who has a half a million followers on Instagram, 4oe.
