Watch 7 of the best performances from the BET Awards Show ‘Year of the Black Woman’
The TV channel celebrated Black excellence with a slew of stars like Queen Latifiah, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, & more
Over the past few years, The MTV Awards, Oscars, and other award shows have become humdrum while BET’s award shows have been lit. This year’s show had the theme ‘Year of the Black Woman’ and gave Queen Latifah the Lifetime Achievement Award for her tremendous success in music and entertainment.
While many awards were handed out [‘WAP,’ Jazmine Sullivan, H.E.R., Megan Thee Stallion, Silk Sonic, Lil Baby, Giveon, SZA, Burna Boy, and more all won], the night was all about spectacular performances.

1. Cardi B & Migos
The Migos came out and did their hit ‘Straighten’ and then brought out Cardi B for ‘Type Sh*t’ and a big surprise
2. DMX Tribute
Method Man, Grizelda, Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beatz, and more pay tribute to the fallen icon
3. Megan Thee Stallion
The Best Female Hip Hop artist is turning hot girl summer into Thot girl summer
4. Lil Nas X
While paying tribute to ‘Remember the Time’ by Michael Jackson, Lil Nas X turned heads when he made out with one of the dancers at the end of the video
