Jakarta-based MC Bennett AK has recently dropped a new single and video for ‘Anyeong’ which is short for ‘anyeonghaseyo’ or ‘hello’ in Korean. No, he’s not Korean, he’s Indonesian – but he also rhymes in English, Japanese, Mandarin, and Bahasa on the bass-heavy Drill track.
You may remember Bennett AK from his ‘J-Town Flow’ which hit SE Asia hard last year. He’s back with the subsonic Drill sound on ‘Anyeong’ and his deep baritone vocal inflection is smooth with that buttery goodness, as he flexes and rhymes his shout-outs to the Asian massive.
The music video has him and his crew repping fast cars and the usual partying, but Bennett definitely has charisma and he’s for sure on the come up. At only 21, he’s already dropped 18 singles and an album. One to keep an eye on for sure.
