Last year, the first ever Hip Hop-centric reality TV series, The Rappers [大嘻哈時代], was aired on MTV. When it was first officially announced and called for applicants to participate, they received well over 1,200 applications. Could you blame them? As an aspiring MC, of course, you’d want to get a jump start in your career, especially if it came with an opportunity to be mentored by the likes of Dwagie, Leo Wang, PoeTek, and Razor Chiang.

Fast forward to August of this year, a season two was confirmed. An application window was opened from August 29 to September 18, allowing aspiring MCs to send a 60-second demo to the show. Fast forward a little bit more to now, and the TV series won multiple awards at the 57th Golden Bell Awards.
