When the Filipino rap collective O Side Mafia comes to town, it’s best to step aside. The three-man collective comprising MCs Costa Cashman, Gee Exclsv, and Madman Stan don’t play no games, and it’s evident through the boisterous tracks they drop.

Their latest, titled ‘SMD’, which is a collaborative single with fellow Filipino MC Paul N Ballin, is no different. It arrived on all streaming platforms on August 11, following on from their last single, ‘Drugs in tha Club’ which dropped on June 28. As the track’s acronym title suggests, they’re not holding back the explicit take on this one.

The four MCs channel out pure aggression on this collaborative offering, half-screaming their rhymes as they go which is the sort of flow that’s distinct to O Side Mafia. They go head-on with their verses, leaving zero space for any sort of misinterpretation. The aggression is further displayed in its accompanying music video, as the MCs, backed by their posse, go on an absolute rampage with their rhymes. The question they’re putting out is clear, as the track’s hook goes, “Why you on my d*ck, b*tch?”
