Hip Hop Takes Center Stage at Rolling Loud Thailand [Gallery]
The 2nd edition of Rolling Loud Thailand was jubilant celebration of Hip Hop
Three days of Hip Hop madness just ended and Rolling Loud Thailand was the perfect mix of local heroes and international superstars. 50,000 people per day passed through Legends Siam to check out the second year of the world’s biggest Hip Hop festival. This year was moved from April to November and that worked out well for everyone as the third iteration of the festival has been announced for November 14 through November 16, 2025.
Day 1
Getting into Rolling Loud always takes a bit of time on Day 1, but showing up early has perks as LiFTED got to see the Def Jam SEA crew including Joe Flizzow, as well as Youngohm rock the second stage. When the Sun went down, the big stars came out as Milli and the Dreamgals did their thing on the main stage. They were followed by a topless Jay Park, who seems to never wear a shirt in Thailand. Akon’s voice filled Legends Siam as he ran through his hits. Quavo and Tyga were stars in their own right, but the night belonged to A$AP Rocky. During his set, he had an orchestra play ‘L$D,’ brought a rowdy fan up on stage, and even introduced the ‘Big Dawgs’ remix with Hanumankind.
DAY 2
With stunning weather and good vibes all around, day 2 was hype as all roads led to Lil Wayne’s first appearance in Thailand. On the second stage, JP The Wavy brought out Oz World as a guest and Lex showed why he is the king of everything. NLE Choppa slutted the crowd out while Denzel Curry turned it all the way up.
Hanumankind’s full set on Day 2 was hyperactive in ways that have him booked for Coachella 2025. Thaitanium always comes with it in their home country. DJ Snake played an all Hip Hop set and Wiz Khalifa got everyone to smoke in a place where smoking is legal. Lil Wayne came out to ‘Mr. Carter’ and showed why he’s a GOAT. With a catalog that runs deep with hits like ‘HYFR,’ ‘She Will,’ ‘The Motto,’ and ‘6 Foot 7 Foot,’ Wayne was just what people were waiting for. When he ended with ‘A Milli,’ the crowd was tired but they didn’t want to go home.
DAY 3
The third and final day is where the true party people are because they haven’t fallen off and are still out giving 110 percent. The day started with news of Playboi Carti not making the flight to Thailand and being replaced by Yeat. It’s pretty incredible that the Rolling Loud crew has headliners on standby just in case. The side stage showcased some amazing Asian talent including ShiGGa Shay, Yellow Bucks, and the Bangkok Invaders, including DJ BUDDHA and DJ Ono, who have been hard at work on RL all year long.
On the main stage, RIIZE was the first K-pop band to perform at Rolling Loud Thailand. CL, who straddles the line between K-pop and K-hop, killed it, and Gunna had the audience in a stranglehold.
