Japanese Hip Hop collective YENTOWN is back with their second official single, ‘Baguri [バグり]’. Following the success of their debut track, ‘Fukou Chuu no Saiwai,’ the crew – led by Chaki Zulu and featuring Awich, PETZ, MonyHorse, and JNKMN – continues to make major waves in the Japanese Hip Hop scene, having already gained national attention from performances at POP YOURS and on Red Bull RASEN.

Produced by DJ JAM, ‘Baguri’ is an explosive track that dives into the contradictions of the digital era and the raw impulses hidden within people. The song blends a hard-hitting, sample-heavy Jersey beat with razor-sharp lyricism. Every rapper’s striking 16 bars are juxtaposed by the production’s droning chants.

The accompanying music video, directed by Eijin Hotta, enhances the track’s chaotic energy with cutting-edge cinematography. It plays on the theme of overwhelming digital distortion, featuring an eerie multiplication effect where YENTOWN members appear to increase in numbers in each scene. Hotta himself described the concept as a reflection on how being alone in a bugged-out state can feel suffocating, but when surrounded by others, that burden becomes easier to bear.
