Waterbomb Manila announces Jessi, Epik High & Dynamic Duo as headliners
The music festival mixes K-pop, K-hop & EDM
While many places in the northern hemisphere are shivering in their boots with the winter cold, festivals are announcing their lineups and getting ready to get sprung for spring. Waterbomb, a music festival around Asia that focuses on Korean artists, swimwear, and squirt guns, has just released its lineup for their Manila weekend on February 22 and 23.
Topping the list is Jessi, one of the most in-demand Korean Hip Hop stars on the planet. She had a roller coaster of a 2024 with amazing music and some irritating legal problems, but she’s brushing it off and ready to explode for 2025. Other acts on the bill are Epik High, the anti-K-pop K-pop/K-hop/Indie Rock band. They’ve been laying low for a bit and plotting a big new year as well. Dynamic Duo is also on the top line of the acts because they know how to turn a party into a festival.
Waterbomb is similar to the S20 music festival in that they’ve taken the blueprint of Ultra and upped the ante by adding fountains of water everywhere, sexy people shooting industrial-sized squirt guns at the crowds, and encouraging event-goers to wear as little as possible. Waterbomb is different because the focus is on K-pop, K-hop, and EDM.
