At 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, Jusky released an Instagram post stating that ¥$’s Vultures Listening Sessions were going to be canceled in Taiwan. Trying to do a Google search for ‘Vultures Listening Sessions canceled’ brings up hundreds of hits from around the globe where Ye and Ty Dolla $ign have not shown up before. So, this is another case of fool me once, shame on you; buy tickets for a thing that’s been canceled so many times, shame on me.
Taipei is not New York City or London or Los Angeles. Hell, it’s not even Tokyo, Hong Kong, or Shanghai, so when a Hip Hop concert [or listening session] comes, people want to buy tickets and be part of an experience. Especially, when it’s someone who has a name like Ye. It’s easy to sidestep the madness and think how cool it would be to see something that is so Hypebeast or so right now.
Instead, once the show is canceled, like we predicted, it feels so deflating for an artist who used to be held in such high esteem to just toss his fans onto the floor like a used condom from a dick that couldn’t even get hard.
Will Korea be canceled next? We all know the answer to that one.
Let’s just hope the refund system is good…
