Hip Hop was well represented at this year's Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. Snoop was the unofficial mascot of the Games because he was everywhere from the Men’s Basketball events to dancing with horses in the dressage events. Breaking made it’s debut, which put global attention on the dancesport.

At the Closing Ceremonies, which hands off the torch from the present Olympic venue to the next one, a surprising guest from Asian Hip Hop came out and played his most popular song. Cambodia’s VannDa performed at the Closing Ceremonies as he rapped one minute of ‘Time to Rise’ at Stade De France Stadium in Paris, France. The rapper showcased his culture as he wore an all-black outfit with flourishes of white traditional Cambodian patterns.

A bit later in the program after VannDa performed, Tom Cruise dropped down from the ceiling and took the flame to Los Angeles, where Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Billie Eilish did their songs to show the star power of what will happen in four years at the 2028 Olympics. A few athletes complained that they didn’t know Snoop would NOT be in Paris, since he had been there for the last two weeks.
