MILLI can do no wrong as she makes the grand finale on Show Me the Money 12
Most foreign rappers are out in the first few weeks
On her way to becoming a global superstar, MILLI is playing the role of outsider on Korea’s prestigious Hip Hop reality program, Show Me the Money 12. Each week, she has survived by showing her rapping prowess in English, Korean, and Thai. While there are some good rappers on the show, MILLI is an entertainer, and that is much different.
MILLI as well as Kim Haon, Tray B, Nowiamyoung, and Mason Home have made the final top five, and will compete for the grand prize on the grand finale airing Thursday April 2. Voting for your favorite MC can only be done on the Mnet Plus app under the Show Me the Money tab.
This season, to boost the appeal of Show Me the Money 12, the international round featured Asian Hip Hop heavyweights Korean OG Flowsik, JB, Novel Fergus, Billy Choi, and Haysen Cheng from Hong Kong, and Red Eye from Japan. All of these foreign rappers were out early, but the producers couldn’t deny the effects that MILLI has had on the crowd in person and in voting. While the voting is usually 70 percent Korean and 30 percent global, MILLI has held on because of her immense talent.
If MILLI wins Show Me the Money 12 on Thursday, this will be unprecedented. She will have gone to a foreign country and turned their Hip Hop upside down. Even if she doesn’t win, MILLI has already really won by making the grand finale and showing more people around the world how amazing she is.
