88rising’s Head in the Clouds festival is hitting on all cylinders after the pandemic tried to slow it down. Thankfully, that was only a speed bump and now things are really pumping. After last year’s massive success with a Head in the Clouds spotlight at Coachella, the festivals in California, Jakarta, and Manila, it was time to hit New York and the artists brought it.

Itzy, MaSiWei, Ravenna, DUMBFOUNDED, XG, DPR Ian, DPR Live, Hojean, MILLI, Rich Brian, and more showed that the East Coast has a lot of love for what 88rising is doing especially since it was founded in the Big Apple. After Rolling Loud announced it wasn’t coming to New York this year, Head in the Clouds took the ball and ran with it at Forest Hills Stadium.

As soon as the show was over, the announcement for the two-day festival at the Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on August 5 and 6 was released. 88rising’s staple acts of Jackson Wang, Rich Brian, and NIKI will be joined by Rina Sawayama, ZEDD, YOASOBI, and many other surprises like Josh Pan and Mr. Carmack. Again, the 626 Night Market will provide the food and night market vibes Asians in America miss so much.
