Megan Thee Stallion & BTS’ RM ‘Neva Play’ about counting them zeros
Anime Megan is a dream come true for many fans
Megan Thee Stallion has gone from Houston Hottie to global superstar over the past few years and her love of Asian culture is a big part of that. In 2021, after dealing with a bogus lawsuit from her record company, she hoped on the remix of BTS’ ‘Butter,’ and started accumulating those K-pop fans. More recently, she brought out Yuki Chiba in London to perform the single ‘MAMUSHI,’ which is slithering up the charts due to it’s viral video as well as the damage it’s been doing on the dance floors around the world.
On September 7, the world went full circle as BTS’s RM is now featured in Megan’s latest song and video, ‘Neva Play.’ RM goes into full deep-voice mode as he brags about being a smooth criminal and selling out stadiums. Meg, for her part in the song, shouts out Dragon Ball’s Bulma, because she has blue hair, and then is depicted as anime in the video. This fulfills the dreams of many of her fans.
With the musical worlds of Hip Hop and K-pop crossing over again and again, Asian Hip Hop keeps getting better by the day.
