Luci Gang takes Rolling Stone to the cliffs for a stripped-back live session

With little more than a mic & a laptop, her skills & versatility take center stage

Last week, LiFTED featured Luci Gang for the first time with her House-inspired track ‘HEADLOCK.’ Now, Lee Eun-seon [이은선] is popping up all over the algorithm, and she’s returned with a live performance of her third album, Rolling Stone, filmed against a picturesque coastal backdrop.

With little more than a computer, microphone, and camera, the Rolling Stone live session shows exactly how Luci Gang gets down. There are no elaborate sets or oversized concepts to hide behind. Instead, the album’s 12 tracks put her versatility front and center, moving between rapping, melody, and club-ready sounds without settling into one lane.

‘Easy A’ opens the cliffside session with Luci immediately putting her technical ability on display. Three albums into her career, she sounds completely comfortable switching flows and approaches. ‘빙글빙글 [Cycles]’ brings out the more melodic side of the project, while ‘HEADLOCK’ makes it easy to understand why Luci Gang has been catching eyes and ears with its club-friendly production and memorable lyrics. ‘WHPH,’ short for ‘Work Hard Play Hard,’ pushes things into Jersey territory and gives the session one of its hardest moments, while ‘Type Shi’ feels like one of the album’s most immediately accessible tracks.

At a time when music videos can become exercises in bigger budgets and over-the-top concepts, Luci Gang takes the opposite approach. The dramatic coastline provides the scenery, but the performance remains simple. It’s one artist, one album, and enough confidence to let the music do the work.

Luci Gang’s cliffside performance of Rolling Stone offers a strong look at an artist whose biggest asset is refusing to fit neatly into any one category.
