When people get welcomed into Hip Hop labels or families, it’s a special thing. Back in the day, if you got a Death Row necklace or a Roc-a-Fella chain, you were officially a big deal. The times have changed, but lilBOi gets the modern version of this on his new banger, ‘High,’ featuring pH-1.

At the start of the video, Jay Park is giving him a call. As any Asian Hip Hop artist knows, putting Jay in the video is like getting that verse from Jay-Z. It blows your numbers up sky high as soon as he tweets out your video, and gets your names in a lot of mouths.

What’s helpful, too, is a dope beat. The write-up for ‘High’ doesn’t list the producer, but whoever in the H1GHR MUSIC family made this beat should get a raise. The funkiness of the horns is perfect, and the drums slap. lilBOi gets busy and shows the world what he can do. Then, pH-1 comes in wearing a suit with a hood in a sushi shop talking about the haters, and it’s a wrap. ‘High’ is officially a hit, and this is only the start of lilBOi’s career.
