In 2023, we were treated to brilliant releases from all around Asia. We had it all, from Drill and Jersey Club heaters to off-kilter offerings and left-field approaches. Asian Hip Hop built its foundation by itself, and it’s now ready to propel itself upwards and beyond.

For Hong Kong’s YoungQueenz and N.O.L.Y from WILDSTYLE RECORDS, there’s no room for mucking about; they’re entering 2024 strong. On January 1, they released a collaborative single titled ‘Hoyeonjung.’ It’s purposeful with blistering fire in their deliveries. Their chemistry is incredibly infectious, and that’s exactly why YoungQueenz and N.O.L.Y have been frequent collaborators for years now. Their last collaborative project dropped in 2018, so it’s due time that the duo gave their listeners what they’ve been yearning for.

With a sample from a video game stating, “Enter the dragon,” YoungQueenz and N.O.L.Y are sporting DRAGON TOWN gear in front of a skeleton of a dragon washed up on a shore in the video. It’s a drab and dreary day, which fits in perfectly with the beat and lyrics, and ‘Hoyeonjung’ is timed just right for the start of the year of the dragon.

Check out the video for YoungQuuenz and N.O.L.Y’s ‘Hoyeonjung’ below.
