Hanumankind & Vishal Dadlani live in the now for ‘Taste the Thunder’
Thumbs Up has an anthem on their hands
When brands throw artists into a studio for a campaign tie-in, the results can be awkward at best. Every now and then, though, the chemistry clicks. For two Indian heavyweights like Hanumankind and Vishal Dadlani, ‘Taste the Thunder’ came together naturally.
“The song came easy,” Hanumankind shared. “What you’re hearing is very close to what we made the first day in the studio. We had the right people in the room, and it just flowed.”
The track doubles as a slick rebrand moment for Thumbs Up, but it never feels like a forced jingle. The visuals play like a short action film, tapping into Gen Z’s obsession with living in the now. From bungee jumping and tearing through the streets in a Jeep to rollerblading, popping wheelies, exploring abandoned spots, and playing cricket in a river, the video races between chaos and slow-motion beauty. It’s reckless joy, shot like cinema.
Since breaking out with ‘Big Dawgs,’ Hanumankind has become synonymous with high-octane energy and thrill-chasing anthems. He’s locked into the pulse of Indian Hip Hop and embodies that now-or-never mindset. As the slogan goes, “Aaj Kuch Toofani Karte Hain” [“Let’s do something crazy today.”]
