Ez Mil has a guest verse on Eminem’s new ‘Head Honcho’
The Filipino rapper also makes a cameo in ‘Houdini’
Ezekiel Miller, also known as Ez Mil, made a lot of headlines last year when he became the first Filipino artist signed to Dr. Dre and Eminem’s Shady/Aftermath record label. Recently, the rapper has been making moves and involved in Eminem’s rollout for his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady [Coup de Grâce].
The first time Ez Mil was spotted, he was in the cameo-filled video ‘Houdini.’ The premise is that Eminem in his Slim Shady phase in 2002 goes through a time portal and lands in 2024. Slim gets to see how weird the world has gotten now with selfie sticks, dogs taking themselves for walks, and Apple Vision Pros. When the video switches to a posse cut, Ez Mil is there with The Alchemist and others for a few quick seconds.
Once the album, The Death of Slim Shady [Coup de Grâce], was released, Filipino Hip Hop fans were quick to note that on the 14th track, ‘Head Honcho,’ Ez Mil gets to start the song by spitting a verse in both Tagalog and English. For Asian Hip Hop fans eagerly awaiting Ez Mil’s new work, this is a big step in the right direction.
