On August 3, sad news broke for the Singapore DJ community. DJ Wiz, formally known as Andrew Chow, passed away at the age of 63. This announcement was made on his Facebook account by his daughters Abby and Ashley. They mentioned that he had been battling stomach cancer and feeling unwell for years.

DJ Wiz was a resident at Phuture at the former Zouk nightclub from the mid-1990s to the 2010s, as well as a 3-time winner of the DMC Singapore. His most recent showcase was at a DMC warm-up battle on May 24 at Kossa.

In the comment section, it was clear that DJ Wiz was loved as well as highly influential in the Singaporean nightlife community. Many people expressed their sadness to his daughters and gave examples of the good times they had while listening to DJ Wiz’s music.

His wake is being held at 406 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10 until Saturday morning at 11:40 when the cremation will be held. People visiting are encouraged to dress colorfully and stylishly like DJ Wiz would.
