Edison Chen flexes with his CLOT Panda Season Chuck Taylors
Panda Panda Panda Panda Panda Panda
It’s hard to call artists one-hit wonders nowadays because if they have a viral song, usually, the second and third songs they put out will do big numbers. But in reality, people forget about them pretty quickly. What was the next song Psy put out after ‘Gangnam Style’? How about remembering the name of the rapper who had the song with the hook which said, “I’m in love with the coco?” over and over? Does anyone know who produced ‘Harlem Shake’? What about the name of that challenge where everyone froze when ‘Black Beatles’ was played?*
Exactly.
Desiigner had 2015 and 2016 on lock with his one-hit wonder, ‘Panda.’ In an interview, the rapper said he made US$10 million off the song and a US$200 beat that he bought. He also said that when he made the song, he had no idea pandas were going extinct.
Edison Chen surely knows a lot about pandas and he has just shown off his CLOT x Converse Chuck 70 Hi Panda Season shoes on Instagram. This release stems from his September release of CLOT’s Altered Beasts collection. The shoes have a fluffy panda black and white colorway with alternating tongue colors.
In his Instagram post, Edison quotes Desiigner’s words from ‘Panda.’ “I’ve got broads in Atlanta” is the line that brings the memories back, then it goes to a lot of the lyrics people forget again. Then finally, it hits the line everyone knows, “Panda Panda Panda Panda Panda Panda.”
CLOT is available at Juice retail stores in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and Hawaii, as well as online here.
