Is the beef between Badshah & Yo Yo Honey Singh over after 15 years?
The 2 Indian megastars used to be in a group together
A long time ago, the Indian Hip Hop crew called Mafia Mundeer had big dreams and aspirations. The group, which consisted of Raftaar, Badshah, Yo Yo Honey Singh, and others, started to fall apart in 2009 and eventually disbanded in 2012. Soon after, beef was started. All three of the artists have gone on to have huge careers, but there have been Facebook disses, jealousy about credits, and talk of stealing other’s lyrics. In other words, the former members of Mafia Mundeer have had bad blood for nearly 15 years.
Until this past weekend.
At a concert in Dehradun, Badshah put the peace offering in the air to Honey Singh. He said, “There was a phase in my life where I held this grudge against one, and now I want to call it quits and leave that grudge behind – and that’s Honey Singh. I was unhappy because of some misunderstanding but then I realized when we were together, the number of people wanting to break us apart outnumbered the number of people trying to unite. Today, I just want to let everyone know I’ve left that phase behind and I wish him all the best.”
In a 2024 dominated by top-of-the-charts beef, it’s good that two old friends may soon be letting things go.
