OG Kaybee’s murder shakes Filipino Hip Hop community
The MC was gunned down at a mall in Metro Manila
Jumer Galicia, known as OG Kaybee to many in the Filipino Hip Hop community, was assassinated in front of a mall in Alabang on Monday, February 22. The 32-year-old MC was pronounced dead by multiple gunshot wounds at 9 pm at the hospital. Witnesses claim to have seen three suspects with white shirts and denim pants jump out of a white van and shoot OG Kaybee. No motives for the killing have been released. No arrests have been made yet.
OG Kaybee was part of the 187 Mobstaz, a Hip Hop crew who made a lot of noise in the underground scene. Tributes came pouring out for the fallen MC from all corners of the Philippines, showing how much OG Kaybee meant to everyone.
Rapper Abaddon, who witnessed OG Kaybee’s ambush, was the one to call for help. He put up a post stating “I love you so much” after the killing. The two had collabed on Tiny Montana’s August 2021 single ‘Where Ya From, Pt 2.’
