MILLI has been everywhere in Bangkok recently promoting her new album Heavyweight. She headlined 88rising’s Road to FAM show at the Hua Lamphong train station a few weeks back. Then she performed Heavyweight in full on TukTuk Radio, riding around on the coolest mode of transport in Thailand.
Over the weekend, the Lollapalooza festival took place in Chicago, headlined by Korn, Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, A$AP Rocky, Sabrina Carpenter, and Martin Garrix. With 400,000 people spread over four days, it’s one of the biggest festivals in the world. On Friday night, August 1, MILLI became the first Thai to play Lollapalooza as she popped out to do a song with Laotian producer Knock2. On Heavyweight, Knock2 produced ‘Dance or Dead,’ an electronic banger with MILLI playing hypewoman and making sure the crowd puts their hands up or they are dead.
‘Dance or Dead’ was the perfect choice for Lollapalooza, and it blew the place up. While Knock2 played music, MILLI jumped on top of a wall of speakers and encouraged the crowd to dance. With a field of energetic festival-goers as far as the eye could see, the people danced until they were dead.
