Lex has always been an anomaly because he can make music that appeals to people’s narcissistic tendencies like ‘GOD,’ or he can completely go the introspective route like he did on ‘I’m the One.’ His latest track, ‘完璧だ,’ from his album Original, is in the former category and means perfect in English.

Trading in the twists in his Punk Rock haircut for a bleach blonde business look, Lex has people waiting on him head and foot. He’s got an incredible place to live with floor to ceiling windows, a fly ride in the driveway, and an expensive business suit for his perfect life. But is it?

Each scene has Lex doing it over and over with different outfits or looks on his face. At the awards show, he wins trophies, the press is all over him, and fans want that selfie, but is his life perfect? Lex’s face, actions, and rapping go slightly off kilter to tell a contradicting story, which is the beauty of being an anomaly.
