LiFTED has always had a soft spot for DIAMOND MQT since he was one of the first rappers we covered talking about smoking ganja in Thailand on 'Jinny Needs Smoke,' a Wiz-Khalifa-like track that celebrated the joy of everything green. Over the past two-and-a-half years, MQT has shown up on his friends’ tracks and has always proved that he has a special skill for rapping.

Ending 2023 on a high note, DIAMOND MQT released ‘PANDA’ on December 14, and it’s a masterclass in rapping in his own style. For two minutes and 41 seconds, MQT doesn’t stop flowing. He goes in on a beat by NINESIXTSOUL that has Jazzy inflections and sets the mood right. The song feels emotional because of MQT’s pauses and it really enhances the storytelling.

In the video for ‘PANDA,’ MQT loves flashing his middle finger at the camera. He gets a little crazy with his crew and even has two lovely friends slithering around some Christmas trees to get viewers in the holiday mood.

Many people believe that young rappers don’t have a lot to say. In ‘PANDA,’ MQT proves that wrong again.
