Looking back at four years of LiFTED, which includes 47 covers, 2,167 articles, and nearly 1.9 million words written for the specific point of letting people around the world know about Asian Hip Hop in English, it’s hard not to be proud of what has been created. What was once a dream has now come true, and LiFTED is known as THE place to hear the latest jams and get news on Hip Hop artists in the region. We cover massive festivals like Rolling Loud and ComplexCon with the determination of journalists trying to get the next big story, but also come at it from the angle of lifelong Hip Hop heads through and through.

LiFTED’s cover star selection runs deep. Bohan Phoenix was the first artist to vouch for us, and that got the ball rolling. Then it was Mongolia’s Mrs M and India’s Prabh Deep with one of the dopest covers we’ve ever had. We got a lot of the big names - RAMENGVRL, JP The Wavy, VannDa - in year one, and haven’t looked back. OGs like Joe Flizzow, DABOYWAY, MC YAN, and even the OGest of the OGs, Fab 5 Freddy, have stopped by LiFTED to drop some knowledge. But OGs are not the only ones that have graced our cover. Artists pushing music forward like Lil Cherry, Camo, Awich, and Bryn are there to introduce listeners to new sounds. Groups have mostly vanished in Hip Hop, but some, like Thaitanium, FORCEPARKBOIs, DIGI GHETTO, Morobeats, Seedhe Maut, and Creepy Nuts live on the covers of LiFTED.

There are some big fish that we haven’t caught for a cover yet [Jay Park, Yuki Chiba we see you!], but we’re going to make those happen. The big question is - who do you want to see next on the cover of LiFTED?
