Colombia meets Japan on Yuki Chiba & Feid’s ‘Medellín Takai’

Reggaeton & Japanese Hip Hop collide for a summer-ready anthem

Summer may not officially arrive for a few more weeks, but on the streets, the season has already started. Every year, a handful of songs make a run at becoming the soundtrack of people’s memories, and Yuki Chiba’s latest international move with Colombian Reggaeton heavyweight Feid feels built for exactly that moment.

On ‘Medellín Takai,’ Feid invites the Japanese rapper into his world and the result is surprisingly natural. Blending Reggaeton bounce with Yuki’s effortless cool, the track jumps between Spanish, Japanese, and English with the kind of confidence that makes language barriers disappear.

Lyrically, neither artist is trying to reinvent the wheel. There’s playful bravado, flirtation, and enough smooth talk to keep the energy high. But sometimes summer music doesn’t need to be deep. It just needs to feel good.

The video leans all the way into that spirit. Shot in Colombia, it follows the pair through neon-lit bus rides, local food spots, city plazas, and endless scenes of celebration. The chemistry feels loose and genuine, like two artists showing each other around their corners of the world.

With Reggaeton continuing to dominate warm-weather playlists across Latin America and beyond, the collaboration makes perfect sense. For Yuki Chiba, ‘Medellín Takai’ expands an already growing international footprint. After Feid played host in Medellín, maybe the next stop on the party bus should be Tokyo.
