Woo & BIBI switch lanes on hypnotic ‘Cocky’

Choreographer Kim Bo-ram introduces a visual contrast of exaggerated dance movement

Korean MC Woo returns with ‘Cocky,’ a title track that leans into restraint rather than excess. Built on a minimal, steady beat, the song’s sparse nature gives ample space for both him and BIBI to lay down some of the most exciting verses of their careers.

Woo’s approach is consistent with what he does best. His controlled and deliberate voice sits low in the mix, almost murmured, cutting through without forcing attention. He lets his laidback flow take over the track rather than chasing big moments. The production keeps things grounded. There are no heavy drops or layered hooks, just a loop that holds steady from start to finish.

What shifts the dynamic is BIBI. Known largely for her ballads, she steps into a different role here, delivering a Rap verse that shows just really how diverse her talents are. There’s no dramatic switch-up. She mirrors the track’s calm energy, keeping her tone even while adjusting her flow. Rapping isn’t completely new territory for her, but keeping up with Woo’s energy is still an impressive feat.

The music video follows a similar idea. Set in everyday locations, it focuses on presence over performance, with both artists barely moving through scenes with minimal expression. The addition of choreographer Kim Bo-ram introduces a visual contrast of exaggerated dance movements set against the track’s hypnotic monotony.
