In 2021, five passionate Khmer Hip Hop artists got together to form the B-Side Khrew. Instead of doing everything for sponsorship or flash, their goal is to stay true to themselves and build a fanbase that likes them for being them.
Over the past year, they’ve recorded with South East Asian artists and want to make a mixtape called KRUSA, which means ‘family’ in English. They have made six tracks and want to mix, master, and make videos for each video. Now they are asking for help for the funds on INDIEGOGO.
The first video they did was Tommie King and the B-Side Khrew’s ‘Don’t Play with Us.’ As the first single from KRUSA, which got over 200,000 views in a month, B-Side Khrew knows they are onto something big and want to do it properly and professionally. Other artist they have worked with are from Thailand [King Aglet, P6iCK, Thaowanz, BADBITCHBKK] from Vietnam [Ocens from Piupiu Records], from Indonesia [Tuan Tigabelas & Yacko].
With perks like artwork, tracks, stickers, bandanas, hats, T-shirts, and even screen prints and co-producer credits, B-Side Khrew is asking for small donations from a lot of people to make KRUSA happen.
