While the dragon is most definitely at the top of the Chinese zodiac, coming in a close second is the king of all beasts - the tiger. In the Lunar calendar, 2022 is the Year of the Tiger, so expect a lot of brands to capitalize on this by adding tiger stripes to everything, especially in the next month leading up to the new year’s holiday.

Nike is first up as they have just released the details of the Jordan Brand Year of the Tiger CNY 2022 capsule. The main draw of this drop is the Air Jordan 1 OG lows with tiger stripes in the middle and a tiger head logo on the heels. The bottom also has an Air Jordan logo under the see-through sole.

Nike has been honoring Chinese New Year since 2002, and they do the same this year by only dropping 5,000 pairs of the AJ 1 OG lows, first in China on December 30 and then the rest of the world in February. With that scarcity, these tigers will be in high demand.
