In 2011, three mysterious mixtapes were released by The Weeknd that changed music forever. Instead of booty-on-the-floor music, this was moody, dark, and sinister sounds that put people in their feelings. Eventually, The Weeknd revealed himself and dropped albums that made him a Pop star with songs like ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ and ‘Starboy.’

He extended his alternative R&B sound and became one of the biggest stars on the planet by playing the Super Bowl and releasing ‘Blinding Lights,’ Spotify’s all-time most streamed song. In 2025, The Weeknd announced he was retiring his stage name after his Hurry Up Tomorrow album and movie. He said he has mastered that persona and needs new challenges.

The Weeknd has been touring an After Hours Til Dawn show around the globe, and he’s just announced the final dates before shutdown will be in September, October, and November in Asia. This includes Tokyo on September 20, Jakarta on September 26 and 27, Singapore on October 2 and 3, Seoul on October 7 and 8, Bangkok on October 11, Hong Kong on October 30 and 31, and Kuala Lumpur on November 4. Opening the show on select dates will be Creepy Nuts and ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U.

This is one of the best modern artists ending an incredible run of 16 years in Asia. These are must-see stadium shows so get on the list to get your tickets here.
