The Do-Over party from Los Angeles has been going strong for 20 years. What made this Sunday party special was that no one knew who the DJs were going to be. Instead, they had to come to the party and find out. A lot of times, the DJs would be famous ones in town who played venues the night before and wanted to flex their skills to a music-loving community. Many of the greatest DJs like Jazzy Jeff, Biz Markie, Questlove, A-Trak, Tony Touch, and more have graced the decks and played intimate sets.

The Do-Over has been taking its party to Tokyo for the past decade and a half, because Japan is where the music is. This Saturday, June 20, the Do-Over will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a day party at Shiokaze Park from noon until 7pm.

Because it’s a special event, the lineup has been revealed and it’s a good one. Beat Junkie Shortkut will be in the house as well as DJ Jin, BiBiYUA, and the Do-Over residents. Attendees are in for a treat because Shortkut’s Hip Hop, Funk, Reggae, and Disco sets are legendary around the globe.
