Supa Massie to open for Tyla in Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s Afrobeats talent for the win

After Tyla dropped out of 2024’s Rolling Loud Thailand, many Afrobeats fans in Asia were disappointed. They bought tickets and wanted to see the Afropop princess in person, and especially hear her song ‘Water’ live.

Luckily, Tyla is hitting Asia for the We Wanna Party Asia tour. She’s hitting Tokyo on November 11, Hong Kong on November 23, Singapore on December 5, and Manila on December 3. Recently, her supporting acts have been announced for the Hong Kong show, and along with Jamie Cheung and Chili Q, a member of the Afroseas, Supa Massie, will be on that big stage.

Supa Massie has been in Hong Kong since the late-2010s and the Sierra Leonean has been an integral part of Afrobeats getting some shine in Hong Kong. With the Afroseas and JB, he’s put out two jams, the jiggy ‘To the Boat,’ and more recent Afro-Trap banger ‘做咩啊 Jo Me Ah.’ Both songs will get ran for sure and don’t be surprised if JB makes a surprise appearance since he’s a huge crowd favorite in Hong Kong.
