Star2, Luh Kel & Sprite team up for the snappy ‘Where Would You Go’
Hip Hop and R&B with some temple flavors added
Star2 is putting in the work in the Hip Hop game. He’s been all over the globe, but his collabs with some of Thailand’s most interesting rappers are what he’s been focused on recently. In December, he released the action-packed short movie for the song ‘ONE OF A KIND’ with his good friend Sprite. In October of 2024, Star2 linked up with another former refugee, JJSP, for ‘Love is Uncertain.’
Recently, Star2 got in touch with an R&B singer Sprite loved, Luh Kel from St. Louis, and brought him to Thailand to meet up and make music. Together, the three rappers have teamed up for ‘Where Would You Go,’ a song is heavy on the snaps with an early-2000s feel. The video was shot at Wat Sakat in Thailand, which has a replica of the Bamiyan Buddha that the Taliban destroyed in 2001.
In a press release, Star2 explained the song in more detail. “I wanted to bring Luh Kel, a huge R&B talent to Thailand and introduce him to Sprite, a longtime fan. The song has an R&B vibe that works perfectly with Sprite’s vocals. Kel and Sprite became great friends and we all loved exploring Thai culture and food together.”
