SHIGGA SHAY, pH-1 & JP THE WAVY get multi-lingual with ‘OK CAN’

“Whatever you say, Lah!”

Each passing day, the world becomes smaller and smaller. With translation apps, the ability to talk to anyone about anything anywhere is possible. Three of Asian Hip Hop’s dopest MCs, SHIGGA SHAY, pH-1, and JP THE WAVY may not all speak the same language, but in ‘OK CAN,’ all three spit in a way that is universal.

In Singapore, ‘OK CAN’ is a humorous phrase that reflects the linguistic pulse of a multicultural society. It means “Yes, anything is possible,” and the three MCs bust raps in English, Singlish, Chinese, Malay, Tamil, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and even French for good measure. They have a great chemistry together as they drop hot bars in various restaurants around Hong Kong.

SHIGGA SHAY said, OK CAN is a phrase we hear every day. We use it so naturally that we don't even think about it; it's become a part of the way we talk, agree, and live our daily lives in Singapore and Malaysia. I wanted to capture that effortless energy in this song. With pH-1 and JP THE WAVY participating, I realized that a simple phrase born in my hometown can resonate far beyond where it started."
