rocKsun’s ‘DIGGAJ’ plants a flag on whole scene
The Maharashtra MC brings untamed chaos to the streets
Indian Hip Hop comes in many forms. There’s Gully Rap straight from the streets, Punjabi rap obsessed with luxury, and a growing wave of regional scenes carving out their own identities like Reble putting Shillong on the map with Pnar and Khasi in her bars. Marathi Hip Hop is also having a moment around Pune and Mumbai, and rocKsun is one of its most intimidating new voices. His latest drop, ‘DIGGAJ,’ feels like a declaration of intent.
Producer Vedang’s beat hits hard from the first drop, with all bounce and pressure. rocKsun rides it with a choppy, no-nonsense flow that sounds less like flexing and more like a threat. He doesn’t float over the instrumental; he stalks it. Every bar lands with conviction, like he’s calmly laying out what he’s about to do before actually doing it. On ‘DIGGAJ,’ rocKsun talks about a one-man reign over the scene, crushing rivals and their mothers, and confronting people face-to-face instead of stabbing them in their backs. It’s brutal, unapologetic, and meant to be felt.
The video plays like the scene in a gangster film right before the underboss makes his move for the throne. rocKsun mostly rolls solo, but he’s flanked by a few suited-up soldiers ready to move when he gives the word. He points, they nod. No wasted motion, no wasted dialogue. It’s less about flashy chaos and more about cold, calculated power, which is exactly the energy ‘DIGGAJ’ carries.
