Migos rapper Takeoff murdered at bowling alley in Texas
Houston…we have a problem. Hip Hop…we have a problem. America…we have a problem
Close to six o’clock Hong Kong time, reports started trickling in that Takeoff, one-third of Atlanta’s Migos and always known as the chill one, was murdered in cold blood at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas. Social media exploded as people hoped this was a terrible rumor and didn’t want to believe it was true. Unfortunately, credible sources have reported that this happened and now there is another rapper gone too soon.
In the last four years, young rappers with superstar potential like XXXtentacion, King Von, Nipsey Hussle, Pop Smoke, Young Dolph, Drakeo The Ruler, and PnB Rock have been murdered on the streets. This is a whole generation of Hip Hop that has been wiped off the map over a dice game, jewelry, or gang beef.
Takeoff was the Migo that talked his uncle Quavo into rapping. He and Quavo have been having trouble with Offset, so they put out their own album, Only Built for Infinity Links on October 20. On Monday, October 31, they premiered ‘Messy,’ a Halloween-themed video that shows both of the Migos’ rapping and acting skills.
Takeoff, whose real name is Kirsnik Khari Ball, is the youngest of the three Migos and does not deserve to have his dead body blasted all over social media and vampire sites like TMZ. The group got together in 2008 and had their first big hit, ‘Versace,’ in 2013. In 2016, they hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with their unstoppable hit, ‘Bad and Boujee.’
America has more guns than people. A small squabble over a dice game at a birthday party that could have stopped with people yelling at each other or a few punches being thrown has ended the life of one of the members of Hip Hop’s most popular groups. This violence is unacceptable and needs to be dealt with now.
RIP Takeoff and condolences to his friends and family.
