Zamaera recently announced that she will be leading a homegrown Malaysian delegation to South by Southwest [SXSW] in Austin, Texas from March 12 to 18. Curating the Made in Malaysia stage on March 15, Zamaera will be joined by R&B crooner Murty, India Rocker Zoe Tan, Hyperpop/Hip Hop artist Lil Asian Thiccie, and EDM and Techno producer I-SKY.

Now celebrating 40 years of underground music and cultural discovery, SXSW has long been a launchpad for artists on the rise. The festival has helped elevate names like Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Kid Cudi, Odd Future, Janelle Monáe, and M.I.A., making it one of the most influential showcases in global music culture.

Zamaera attended SXSW in 2025, where the experience opened doors to new producer collabs and opportunities at Berklee College of Music. This year, she’s returning with a mission to spotlight Malaysian talent on an international stage with the first-ever Made in Malaysia night.

“Other countries such as Japan, Taiwan, and the UK have their own dedicated stages at the festival where they promote their artists. Malaysia has never had one until now. I believe this creates an opportunity for the artists to be cultural ambassadors for our country,” Zamaera said.
