Rachanphon Krongthong, also known by his stage name, LIL X, is an MC from Thailand. While most artists spread their releases throughout the year, LIL X has chosen a different route. We’re only in the first quarter of the year, but he has already dropped eight tracks. Sometimes, we have to wait years for an artist to release just half of that amount.
He’s clearly got something to say and share with the world, and we’re here for it. On his latest track titled ‘Phoenix’, which was released on March 14, LIL X comes to grips with his innermost feelings. He opts for a sing-song flow on this number, flowing over an incredibly infectious beat that features thumping 808 kick drums.
A music video accompanied the track’s release, and it sees the Thai rapper dripped out in the freshest of fits. He’s filmed in a building with floor-to-ceiling windows, showcasing a scenic backdrop of skyscrapers while effortlessly flowing on the track.
Just like how a Phoenix rises from the ashes, LIL X makes it clear that there isn’t any adversity he cannot overcome or get through. On the track’s closure, he drops an important reminder, “The world still spins/The wind still moves/There will always be light.”
