LEX is up next. There’s no doubt the rapper from Kanagawa, Japan is on a hot streak this year and keeps burning up the charts. Lex has called himself God and the ‘King of Everything,’ but on ‘力をくれ,’ he and ¥ellow Bucks want all the power.

The thing that LEX does really well is switch between his mellow side with emotional lyrics into a tour de force on the mic making anthems for people to go nuts to. ‘力をくれ’ is just that. Loosely translated, it means “give me your power,” but LEX is really giving everyone their own power once the song hits the chorus.

The video is B.A.N.A.N.A.S. When LEX gets to that chorus, it’s hard not to jump up and down and start chanting. Verse two takes it up a notch as LEX’s voice gets gruffer and the energy for his mellow side is still pretty hype. Instead of being next to the truck, LEX is on top flexing. The director keeps the crowd noise in as an amazing effect, while ¥ellow Bucks sneaks in from the back. By the time he’s done with his verse and chorus, it feels like you have just seen the future, and in that future, everyone is yelling ‘力をくれ.’
