When you have 19 rappers in your crew, it’s not easy to get a record deal. Mass Appeal India goes against the grain and takes the raw street energy of Lehar the Movement and puts that into the Lehar Chandigarh Mixtape. The mix will have 10 songs and be available on September 18.

First up is ‘Loot’ by Rajat Birla and Double A, which perfectly encapsulates Lehar the Movement. Produced by Dev Ocean, there is a fun and energetic pace to the beginning of the track, but as soon as the beat flips, both MCs go for more heartfelt reflections.

‘Loot’ is just the tip of the iceberg. Lehard the Movement’s 19 members rap in Hindi, Punjabi, English and Haryanwi. While stylistically different, the Lehar Chandigarh Mixtape has a common thread of unfiltered expression. Over the past few years, the Lehar Cyphers have caused a few viral moments to be shared by heavyweights in the industry like Will Smith, Erykah Badu, and Ebro Darden, as well as being featured by The New York Times and Complex.

The time has come for the masses to get on Lehar The Movement’s train. There are 19 seats already filled, but plenty of space for new fans and followers to take in a crew of this size.
