Kohjiya is proud to stand with ‘Ma Boyz’

A posse cut that’s both reflective & celebratory

LiFTED | Jensen Ooi | 1 Mar 2026

Kohjiya keeps his 2026 momentum rolling with ‘Ma Boyz,’ a posse cut that feels rooted in loyalty. Following the reflective tone of ‘Tell Me How It Goes,’ this new single shifts the focus outward, turning attention to the people who’ve been moving alongside him since the beginning.

Featuring MIKADO, G-k.i.d, and Tete, ‘Ma Boyz’ plays out like a snapshot of the rap game seen from the inside. The song had already built anticipation long before its official release, first appearing at STARZ 2025 with MIKADO on stage, then resurfacing as a solo version during ¥ellow Bucks’ year-end show at Black Nagoya. By the time the full lineup arrived, the track already carried a sense of shared history.

Lyrically, Kohjiya frames Rap as a journey navigated with local friends. Each verse reinforces that idea. MIKADO brings familiarity, while G-k.i.d and Tete add new layers without breaking the song’s sense of unity. Rather than competing for the spotlight, the four artists move in tandem, reinforcing their mutual growth.

In the context of Kohjiya’s recent run, ‘Ma Boyz’ feels like a grounding record. As his career continues to scale — with his upcoming Nippon Budokan shows on the horizon — the song acts as a reminder of where his footing is. It captures a moment where progress is measured not just by stages and releases, but by who’s still there to share it.
