KnowKnow goes the silky smooth route in ‘Velvet’
The Higher Brother drops his first full-English song
When the Higher Brothers were popping off, much of the focus was on the dreamy MaSiWei, but since the Chengdu Hip Hop heroes have gone solo, KnowKnow has stepped into his own. The rapper has been putting out a lot of quality work, seems more svelt, and has a new stylist, because KnowKnow now looks good good.
In a first for the MC, he has dropped the all-English ‘Velvet,’ a silky smooth R&B number with a burst of rapping at the end. This love song is the lead single for his upcoming album, Mr. Enjoy da Melody, which references his Mr. Enjoy Da Money series of albums.
The album, to be released by 88rising, will be crazy sexy cool. KnowKnow is known as the vocal anchor of the Higher Brothers, and like his work on ‘Velvet,’’ his new sound is very silky.
